Ross Heron is an experienced senior executive with more than 20 years’ experience leading and scaling businesses across the payroll, HR and workforce solutions sectors.
As CEO of the Australian Payroll Association, Ross is focused on supporting payroll professionals and organisations to navigate change, build capability and improve payroll outcomes. His experience spans startup growth, corporate leadership and regional business operations, including supporting the design, build and expansion of Payroll HQ across ANZ, later acquired by ASX-listed PayGroup.
Ross is known for his customer-first leadership approach, building long-term business partnerships and driving strong employee engagement across multi-site and multi-generational workforces.
Simone Dixon, Senior Principal, Payroll Product Specialist, Deputy
Simone Dixon is a recognised payroll compliance expert with more than 35 years' experience across payroll, finance and HR. Throughout her career, she has worked across a diverse range of industries including retail, hospitality, construction, mining, recruitment, labour hire, not-for-profit and software, developing deep expertise in payroll legislation, compliance and workforce management.
As Senior Principal, Payroll Product Specialist at Deputy and Vice President of DSPANZ, Simone works closely with industry bodies, government agencies and business leaders to help organisations navigate complex payroll and workplace compliance requirements. Known for her ability to translate complex legislation into practical, easy-to-understand guidance, Simone is a trusted voice on payroll compliance, award interpretation and regulatory change.
