Deputy’s New Integration Platform

Ever since we launched our sales integration platform with Vend about 12 months ago, it has been a very popular hit! Retailers and coffee shop owners have been utilizing this integration to get complete control over their rostering budgets as well as a means to measure their staff performance. Since then we have expanded our integration into several other platforms like Revel, Kounta etc.

In complete disclousure, I must confess that the integration was built by a third-party using our own API. Whilst the uptake rate of this integration project was initially unknown for us, we were completely overwhelmed by the success. However soon we found that this service did not automatically scale to the levels expected by our customers.

We have since taken this service completely in-house! Over the past few months we have worked on completely re-building the service from the ground up (code name “Dispatch”). It is highly modular, distributed and very scalable!

Not only we are supporting all the previous vendors, we are rolling out some new integrations as well.

YES! We now integrate with Dropbox. Dropbox Integration allows you to load sales data from CSV files that you may have gathered from legacy non-cloud POS solutions. You can also save copies of your iPad Kiosk Timesheet photos in Dropbox for later review!

Along with our existing sales integration, we will start importing Timesheets and staff details from Kounta.

Similar to Kounta, we have also introduced Employee and Timesheet sync for Revel.

Deputy Extension Lab

This is rather an experimental feature set. Instead of polluting our product with checkboxes, we have added some extension options. For nerdy developers (like myself) there is now a webhook option. You can also do automatic start stop shifts for scheduled shifts (demo environment).

Another handy one is resetting the Daily Sales Budget (those that are manually set) automatically on the day. This will allow you to set a budget for planning and also pull actual sales data for comparison reasons.

We have several other new integrations coming in near future. So stay tuned 🙂
