We have been busy at Deputy for the past few months developing many awesome new features. Whilst we can write individual blog posts for each of these features/updates – I am going to roll all of them into one:
New iOS app
Our new iOS app is now available on the App Store. Along with an updated design for clearer navigation, it also includes the ability to manage employee rosters, view and approve timesheets on the go. Grab it today!
You can now add comments into rostered shifts. Comments are shown to the employees in their published email as well as when they log into Deputy. Comments are a great way to share information about a shift. E.g, share a care-plan for a patient with a dropbox link.
Now you can turn a roster into an open shift. Open shifts are available for grab by qualified staff members and they can pick it up when they are viewing their other allocated shifts. How easy is that!
A lot of you have been asking for it so we have delivered. Now staff members can confirm their published shifts via email and sms (coming soon to kiosk/app). Requiring confirmation is an optional step so you can decide if it is right for your business. It is handy for industries such as security where absence of staff can have commercial/legal implications.
Deputy timesheet integration is now available for Xero USA. Not only that, we have made improvements in the speed of the integration. We have also released our Xero Share site to quickly deploy/share pay templates. In coming weeks we will also release leave integration. If you are at Xerocon Sydney make sure to swing past our stand for some surprise delights.
We have launched lot’s of new customer case studies. Gelato Messina, Mint Organics , New Age Security, Japanese Home Care, Laissez-faire Catering, Shorts Hotel group, Focus Eye are all proud Deputy customers. Get in touch if you would like us to do a case study on your business.
Kristin Harris is the new GM of Deputy
Many of you would have met or exchanged emails with Kristin Harris who has been acting in many roles for Deputy (from Finance, Sales etc). As of today, she is the General Manager at Deputy! Please join me and the rest of the Deputy team to congratulate her in this new role. She can be found on Twitter or Linkedin.
To the future
Much of the work we have done so far is to lay the foundation of what’s coming ahead! So stayed tuned for some great updates in coming weeks/months! Further enhancements to mobile apps, rostering and a brand new user interface is getting baked as we speak.
