MYOB Business (formerly AccountRight Live) connects directly via API for automated staff imports, daily leave balance syncs, and timesheet exports. If you use MYOB Desktop (AccountEdge) or MYOB Exo, Deputy provides tailored TXT or CSV file exports to upload directly into MYOB.
- How does Deputy match employees with MYOB records?
Deputy matches team members using Payroll ID (Employee Number or Card ID in MYOB), first name, last name, and email. Keep these identical in both systems, and enter middle names in the same field in each.
- Does Deputy create pay items in MYOB automatically?
For MYOB Business, Deputy sends your Pay Rate Library rates to MYOB with each timesheet export and creates the matching pay items automatically. For MYOB Desktop, ensure your export codes match your existing MYOB payroll categories.
- How does Deputy handle MYOB's 31-character pay item limit?
MYOB limits pay item names to 31 characters. You can shorten a long export code during export or let Deputy shorten it automatically, and Deputy remembers it for future exports. If an award rate changes, you may need to shorten it again.
- How do Deputy areas map to MYOB Job Codes?
Deputy maps the Area where a shift was worked directly to your MYOB Job Code using Area export codes (supported for MYOB Business and Desktop). The job must already exist in MYOB before exporting; unmatched lines will export without a job code.
- How often do leave balances sync from MYOB to Deputy?
For MYOB Business, Deputy automatically syncs leave balances from MYOB every night at 2:00 AM, or you can click "Run now" inside Deputy's integration settings. Note that MYOB leave balances update after a pay run is completed, and leave names in both systems must match.
