WGEA Gender Paygap Employer Statement
2023-2024
At Deputy, we continue to be proudly led by an 80% female C-Suite and are dedicated to fostering diverse teams reflective of the broad spectrum of the workplaces we serve. This commitment extends to ensuring fairness and equity across all facets of our compensation practices. We firmly stand by the principle that every employee deserves equitable pay, irrespective of gender, race, or any other personal attributes.
We are proud to see improvements in our latest gender pay gap metrics across the board, with a lower average gender pay gap of 14.3% compared to the 2023-24 WGEA Employer Census of 21.8% and our Industry Comparison of 16.1%. We are dedicated and committed to continuing to make strides and progress.
The gap in APAC is driven by a lower overall female population, and greater concentration of male workers in technical roles, including in Product and Engineering (74% male, accounting for 54% of our APAC workforce). Deputy’s global gender pay gap is -5.97%, driven by a higher number of females in senior roles. Deputy has invested in key female senior hires and promotions in 2024 including; Chief People Officer, Chief Commercial Officer, SVP, Strategic Finance Operations, and SVP, Marketing.
Deputy aspires to be the most attractive workplace for women in Tech in APAC and globally. To advance our objective of narrowing the gender pay gap in APAC, Deputy is working to develop and attract more females to higher paying roles via manager coaching programs, internal promotion and external recruitment.
Deputy acknowledges the importance of supporting our employees in their personal and family lives. As such, we support a remote first environment, and provide generous paid primary and secondary caregiver leave. This underscores our dedication to supporting the diverse caregiving responsibilities assumed by our team members.
During 2024 Deputy’s ABC (Acceptance, Belonging, Connection) Group was formed. This initiative, inspired by valuable employee feedback, aims to foster a sense of community and create a Thriving Workplace culture for everyone at Deputy - across every geo, from every background, in-office and remote!
We understand that creating meaningful change requires time, dedication, and deliberate effort. We remain steadfast in our commitment to cultivating a richly diverse and thriving global workplace at Deputy.
